Hydrocyanic acid |
| Dissolution of hydrogen cyanide HCN, in water. It is a colorless liquid that gives off the smell of bitter almonds and is extremely toxic. It behaves like a weak acid and gives rise to salts called cyanates. They are used in mining for the extraction of precious and disinflated metals. |
